Mechele Fonck Receives Wade Christiansen Purple Heart Scholarship Award for 2021
Congratulations to Mechele Fonck!
The Wade Christiansen Purple Heart Scholarship Fund and the Montana State University Veterans Support Center are pleased to recognize Michele as the 2021 recipient of a $1,000 scholarship award (obviously my post is a little behind schedule).
Mechele is a student in the MSU architecture school’s environmental design program. Prior to attending Montana State, Mechele served six years in the Air Force. Mechele also works with the Bozeman Human Resources Development Council, the Montana Conservation Corps, and Habitat for Humanity. Mechele says she is passionate about addressing housing issues currently and in her future architecture career.
As a side note, due to 2020’s obvious complications, I have not been in contact with the 2020 recipient, but the award does continue – my apology for not updating things on the site recently. Thanks for support of the project and happy new year 2022.

The Wade Christiansen Purple Heart Scholarship Fund will continue making awards to outstanding military veterans like Michele for years to come. Please consider a one-time or ongoing donation to the project. All donations are 100 percent federally tax-deductible, and every cent goes to military personnel and military families pursuing an education at Montana State University.
