Congratulations to Adam Job!

The Wade Christiansen Purple Heart Scholarship Fund and the Montana State University Veterans Support Center are pleased to announce that Adam has received a $1,000 award for the upcoming school year.

About his service, Adam writes:

I joined the Army Reserves in December 2010 as a medical laboratory technician.  I got the opportunity to work at the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation two summers offering my skills in their medical lab at the hospital.  I also go the opportunity to compete in the Best Warrior Competitions in 2015.  I was the 2015 Army Reserve Medical Command Best Warrior and I got runner up at the All Army Reserve Best Warrior Competition.
I was mobilized to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany June 2015.  I was quickly promoted to sergeant while I was there and became the Operations Supervisor at the blood donation/distribution center.  I oversaw the distribution of blood products to our Armed Forces in the Middle East and Africa.  Coordination of blood drives throughout Europe was also a huge part of my job as well as ensuring day to day tasks got completed.

About his education, Adam writes:

I am currently a junior in Chemical Engineering and Montana State University.  I plan on obtaining a minor in Aerospace as well because I would love the opportunity to work with propulsion systems, whether that be with space travel or with rockets and guidance systems.  Manufacturing also holds my interest, I think there are several technological advances to be made replacing plastics with more recyclable materials.

Congratulations Adam!  Thank you for serving and all the best with your continuing studies at Montana State.
